Storm Dancing A smell freshens the air, snout lifts, sniffing delicately at windborne news. Eyeridges raise, eyes begin to twirl, tail lashes, and she rises, head held high, listening for the sound of thunder's laughter. Walking out of the lair, twirling eyes scan far horizons for the best starting point. Spotting a particularly roiling cloud, she grins, sharp teeth and fangs sparkling against the sun's last struggling rays. Her senses range out further, questing, gathering in the storm's building center. Her great thighs bunch, and she launches, soaring out over the ledge, wings beating, the storm a beacon to her laughing eyes. Flying nearer, the sharp tang of lightning raps against her lolling tongue, she inhales and the breathe of the storm enters her. Lungs expand, a roar of pure joy erupts, spinning out into the gathered clouds, clashing like cymbals against lightning bolts. Wind gathers it's force, and hits soundly, pushing her back, swirling her around in circles. Her laughter screeches away into the mist, as she dances with the storm, teasing lightning to come play with her, begging thunder beat it's mighty heart within her. A momentary pause, she enters the storm's heart. Rain drenched light glimmers from her scales, as she circles, searching the area carefully. With a wild cry of rapture, she dives headlong, entering the mammoth clouds, bellowing madly, dancing with the wind, soaring with the thunder. Finally blazing with the lightning bolts surging through her body, reflected by her prismed scales. Her endless dancing suddenly subsides, as the storm, having released it's energies in a final surge, gentles into a rain falling softly and slowly. Windblown sides heaving from the exquisite frolicing, she lets out a final whoop of triumphant laughter, and leaves the storm to it's final dispersion. Trailing coloured light behind her as she descends she at last alights upon the ledge, bowing her head, in smiling homage, to the Lord of her Storm Dance, and looks longingly at the storm's last clouds, as they flow off into the nether from whence they came.
